The Australian-Vietnamese couple celebrated their wedding with a runway-inspired ceremony and an unforgettable evening of dance, fashion, and celebration
Some weddings follow tradition, yet others feel like a moment of pure creative expression. For Tracy Pham and Bao Vy Ha, their Sydney celebration was imagined as something joyful, stylish, and full of life.
Working with Sydney-based stylists First Sunday Events, the brides created a celebration that felt both visually striking and deeply personal. From a runway inspired ceremony to elegant couture gowns and carefully layered décor, every element was considered yet effortless.
A wedding runway made for love

The Australian-Vietnamese couple imagined a day that would feel immersive for their guests, where thoughtful design, fashion, and lively entertainment could unfold naturally throughout the celebration.
To bring their vision to life, the brides worked with Sydney-based wedding stylists First Sunday Events, who shaped the visual direction of the celebration from ceremony through to reception. The ceremony introduced one of the wedding’s most memorable visual moments. Rather than a traditional aisle, the couple chose a striking runway-style layout, reminiscent of a fashion show.

Guests were seated along a long catwalk where the brides made their entrances from opposite ends, walking toward one another before meeting at its centre. Running parallel to the runway was a sweeping meadow of florals stretching more than twenty metres combined, creating a dramatic interplay between the sculptural walkway and the softness of the flowers.
The brides themselves were a vision. Clad in couture gowns from Australian fashion houses Grace Loves Lace and KYHA Studios, they brought together two interpretations of contemporary bridal style, each look distinct yet beautifully complementary.
And when the evening comes alive…

Yet like many outdoor celebrations, the day brought an unexpected challenge when weather conditions required the ceremony to be moved indoors. With calm guidance from First Sunday, the couple quickly adapted so the celebration could unfold seamlessly in the Parisian-inspired La Porte Space.
The reception continued the evening’s sense of visual drama within the grand halls of The Eveleigh. Vast draping fabrics, dreamed up by the stylists, cascaded from the soaring ceiling, drawing the eye upward while softening the venue’s raw architectural character. Within the ballroom, two lush garden installations were introduced, bringing a sense of movement and life into the expansive space.

At each guest table, layers of texture added richness to the setting. Satin-draped tables were adorned with florals and fruits, pools of melting candle wax, and elegant stationery, creating a tactile landscape that invited guests to linger and explore every detail.
As the evening unfolded, the celebration took on a theatrical energy as performances from ballerinas, acrobats, and contemporary dancers animated the room. The atmosphere remained warm, jubilant, and full of laughter as friends and family gathered on the dance floor.

For Tracy and Vy, the evening became exactly what they had hoped for: A wedding defined not by spectacle, but by the joy of bringing the people they love together in a celebration that felt vibrant, deeply personal, and entirely unforgettable.
